What is Interface design?

TO HELP USER UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR SOFTWARE DOES FOR HIM/HER!

Below are five basic types of help, corresponding to the five basic questions that users ask when user see a software or a screen:

• 1. Goal-oriented: “What kinds of things can I do with this program?”
• 2. Descriptive: “What is this? What does this do?”
• 3. Procedural: “How do I do this?”
• 4. Interpretive: “Why did this happen?”
• 5. Navigational: “Where am I?”

Interface design is making things easy & understandable by the user. It can be used for software, hardware, cars, planes, remotes and list is endless. A remote buttons are made so user could use them easily and recognise them by of icons, colors and more.

Why interface Design is Important?

It is important because is important for user and If user is unable to understand it easily they will not use your software or hardware.

Example: Windows 3.1 Success of Microsoft

Reason it was Graphical User Interface and anyone could understand how to use windows. Buttons looked press-able so user knew they have click and something will happen as in real life switching on a light button or stereo button.

What is Software Interface Design?

Software interface design is a peace of code takes shape so user could know what the software do for him/her.
Software Interface design consist of Images, buttons, Icons, Text, Descriptions, Animations etc. Designer makes all the graphics needed as images and Programmers implement those images in software code. It requires lots time and effort to make software look as designer intended it to be.

How Software Interface is made?

It can made in any Graphics Soft-wares such as Photo-shop which most widely used for Interface designing.

Some Software such as 3Ds MAX are used to animations.

It depends on the designer fee for which you hire. Mostly Experienced Interface Designer can cost you 50 to 200+ USD per hour, Depending on the Pages you need to designed for your software. A software design consist of 5 to 7 pages or screens can take 25 to 50+- hours of designer costing between 2500 to 5000 or even more if you add more work such as animations.

Decent Looking Interface without much animation work involved:
